Job Description

As a Data Center Cloud Practice Solution Architect, you will serve as a lead strategic technical advisor within Alchemy Technology Group, guiding customers through the complex journey of transforming traditional data centers into modern, hybrid cloud environments. This high-impact role demands exceptional architectural foresight, deep technical acumen, and a proven ability to engage at the executive level (e.g., Heads of Infrastructure). You will be instrumental in developing strategic roadmaps, conducting high-value workshops (e.g., Mastermind sessions), and educating data center and cloud teams on the optimal strategic approaches for modernization and migration. Your expertise will not only focus on architecting the ‘what’ but also on articulating the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of these transformations, particularly leveraging Nutanix solutions and integrating seamlessly with AWS and other cloud platforms. You will be accountable for reinforcing Alchemy’s mission of transformative disruption in both theory and practice, building trusted advisor relationships that drive long-term customer success.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Strategic Advisory & Roadmapping: Lead strategic discussions with customer executives and technical teams to define visions, develop comprehensive roadmaps, and articulate the business value of modern data center and hybrid cloud transformations, with a strong emphasis on Nutanix solutions and AWS integration.
• Architectural Leadership & Guidance: Provide senior-level architectural guidance for complex data center modernizations, migrations, and hybrid cloud deployments, focusing on strategic approaches rather than hands-on implementation, though a foundational background in deployment is highly valued.
• Executive & Team Education: Conduct Mastermind workshops and deliver high-impact presentations to educate customer data center and cloud teams on strategic methodologies for adopting modern infrastructure, fostering a deeper understanding of best practices and future-state architectures.
• Proactive Engagement & Brand Building: Proactively engage with Alchemy’s account teams to establish yourself as the indispensable Subject Matter Expert and strategic advisor. Build strong, trusted relationships with account representatives and their customers, continuously developing your personal brand as a highly sought-after resource within the organization.
• Solution Design & Articulation: Architect and articulate innovative data center infrastructure solutions (Nutanix, Pure Storage, Rubrik, etc.) with a strong emphasis on hybrid cloud integration, architectural best practices, and the strategic path for deployment.
• Business Development Support: Provide strategic technical, licensing, and advisory support to Alchemy Account Executives, actively participating in opportunity generation, nurturing, and expansion.
• Thought Leadership: Maintain a profound understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends within the data center, cloud, and hybrid cloud space.
• Compliance & Values: Comply with established policies and procedures, upholding the values of Alchemy and ensuring superior customer satisfaction through impactful technical and strategic guidance.

Qualifications and Education

As an Alchemy Data Center Cloud Practice Principal, the preliminary qualifications for employment are a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and an unparalleled aptitude for architectural problem-solving and executive advisory. These are essential characteristics to lead transformative journeys. To complete the profile, the following qualifications are required:

• Minimum of 10 years of overall experience in the IT infrastructure industry, with at least 5 years in a senior pre-sales or solution architecture role focusing on strategic data center and hybrid cloud advisory, roadmapping, and migrations.
• Extensive experience working in a value-added reseller (VAR) environment is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills: The ideal candidate will possess deep architectural and advisory expertise in the following areas:

• Nutanix Platform: Extensive knowledge of Nutanix solutions, including design, strategic deployment, and integration within hybrid cloud environments.
• AWS (Amazon Web Services): Architectural proficiency in AWS services, focusing on hybrid cloud integration and strategic cloud adoption.
• Modern Data Center Architecture: Expertise in compute, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms, with a focus on modernization strategies.
• Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI): Strong understanding of HCI concepts, architectural design, and migration pathways.
• Hybrid Cloud Architecture: Proven experience with hybrid cloud design principles, strategic migration methodologies, and management.
• Storage Technologies: Experience with technologies like Pure Storage and Rubrik is a plus.
• Virtualization Platforms: Experience with VMware ESXi is a plus.
• Strategic Technical Documentation: Ability to analyze, explain, and document complex architectures concisely.
